Who is responsible

Hour Electric is the data controller for the details you give us. ICO registration number: to be added before launch. Contact us by replying to any email from us.

What we collect

• Your name, email address and mobile number, the address the electrician visits, and access notes such as parking or a key safe.
• What you ask us to look at, including any photos you add.
• A saved card, held by Stripe. We never see or store the card number.
• What happened at the visit: time on site, materials, the work summary, your approvals and signature, and any certificates.
• Emails we send you and whether they were delivered.

Why, and the legal basis

We use these details to carry out your booking, charge for it and send you the paperwork: this is performance of our contract with you. We keep records of visits and payments to meet legal and accounting obligations. We send reminders and updates about your visit because you would expect them; we do not send marketing unless you ask for it.

Who sees your details

• The partner firm and the electrician assigned to your visit see your name, phone number, address, access notes and job list, for the visit and 30 days after.
• Stripe processes your card and payments.
• Resend delivers our emails. Supabase hosts our database in London. Vercel hosts the website.
• We do not sell or share your details with anyone else, except where the law requires.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records for six years after the visit, which is the period for contract claims and tax records. Photos and signatures are deleted after six years. Partner firms lose access to your contact details 30 days after the visit. A booking you start online but do not confirm stays only in your own browser.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your details, ask us to correct them, ask us to delete them where we no longer need them, and object to how we use them. Reply to any email from us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
